- The Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League, Inc. - MAGDRL
MAGDRL is staffed completely by volunteers. Like all humane groups, MAGDRL is in the unique position of helping both humans and pets. In our case, the pets are Great Danes and mixed Dane dogs, and the people are those who have or want the companionship of the breed or, often, just dogs in general.

All of the dogs that come through our rescue program are spayed or neutered and fully vetted before being adopted.
It’s truly heart-wrenching to hear about Grams’ condition, but it’s also heartwarming to know that he’s now in a caring environment where he can begin to heal physically and emotionally. Gram is a scared but sweet boy, weighing 87 pounds and we think he is about 3 years old. It’s clear that he’s been through a lot, but with proper care and attention, he has a chance for a better life ahead. The pictures say more than words.
Additional photo’s on the Rescues In Need page are graphic and may not be suitable for young children.
In two short weeks Gram has gained about 10 lbs. which is fantastic news. He still has a long way to go and is receiving the love and care that he so desperately needed.
There are so many ways to help!!
